After a day full of playing and setting things up you quickly realize that challenges are everywhere. Right now after boasting about it should not be that hard to install Unity or Unreal Engine 4 it turns out that it is actually not that easy as well. So after a day of Elementary I am already looking at KVM and other VM solutions to the issue that is called Windows based software. Got my office set up. Browsers are more than fine. Mail client is one of the best ever out there (well that I am aware of at least). But damn you games industry and your Windows mindedness!

Next up is looking at Oculus SDK and how that one wants to play with me. But I am very afraid I might end up with a Win 7 virtual setup and just do my modeling/texturing in Elementary. Cannot wait to be able to finally have this all set up and start working on some actual developing again. In the mean time I will be downloading and playing around with Blender, I never really got the hang of texturing models in the right way. And even though it can be very tricky it cannot be rocket science. Luckily I also have some night-shifts coming up next weekend. Dozens of hours to dig into the magic of modeling and texturing. There is only so much pixel work that one can appreciate.
